Day 30- A motto or philosophy

I never said it would be easy..... I just said that it would be worth it. I really believe this quote because after you have been through hard times you it is easy for you to cherish the good times. Why this quote means so much is when I was junior in high school my mom lost her job that she had, had for 23 years. I was in shock when she told me and at first I didn't believe it. I remember praying that night and I just got this overwhelming feeling that everything would be just fine. It was just so hard to think my mom would no longer have a job. She did have a part time job for 4 months and then she was hired on full time at her current job and it was the biggest relief that she finally had a full-time job. But I know that because of that experience I learned so much. During that time I had to learn to do a lot of things for myself because my mom was gone at night instead of during the day. It really helped with the adjustment to college because I already knew how to cook meals and do other basic things on my own. While I was going through this I just why did this happen to me but I can honestly say it was worth it and I learned so much. I am done with the 30 day blog challenge and I have to say that the only way I made it through was the fact that I set most of the blog posts as drafts. That means when the day came to post them all I had to do was change the post date and push publish post and bam I was done. Anyway I hoped you have learned a lot about me and I will continue to post, just not everyday.

Day 29- Hopes, dreams,plans for the next 365 days

• Get good grades this semester
• Go to the temple a lot more than I currently do
• Apply to and get accpeted into the elementary education progam
• Pass math 1050, stats 1040 and math 2020
• And then in about six months I will have a big announcment but until then you will have to wait to see what I have under my belt. (don't worry it is nothing bad just wait till you hear what it is and you will be excited for me, I just know it)
• Make new friends
• volunteer

I wish I had more hopes and dreams for the next 365 days but like I said keep reading and soon you will understand.

Day 28- The things you hope to do

Day 27- My fashion favorites

I love to wear my Aggie shirts....... If I could I would wear my aggie shirt and jeans everyday but considering I only have two aggie shirts and they are both pretty stained I only wear them when I am feeling lazy.

I just got these shoes and I have to say they are the best shoes that I have ever had.....I had seen Amy and Pagie with shoes similar to these and I thought they were so ulgy and that I would never get some but I am so glad that I did. I have also recently decided that I don't like to wear shoes with laces so that is another benefit of these shoes.

I also really love to wear big rings like this one.....

I wish I had this ring but I don't and the best place to buy big rings is shopko or avon. I also really like to wear my CTR ring especially when I am having a hard day it just reminds me that everything will be ok if I just choose the right. Below is a picture of the CTR ring that I am getting for easter. I am so excited to get this I just wish easter would come sooner!!!!!

Day 26- A childhood memory

When I was 8 years old I went to visit my dad. At that moment in my life my dad lived in Kansas with my step-mom. It was pretty scary because I flew and I had never been on a plane before. I remember it was so hot outside when I left and my mom made me wear pants and I was thought it was because if the plane crashed I would be protected if I wore pants. I think that I flew on Delta airlines and because I was under age I had to wear a pin and one of the flight attendants was always in charge of me. I spent most of the time getting to know my step-mom. They were moving while I was there so I think we ate at Macdonalds everyday. I remember one time my step-mom left me with my dad while she went somewhere and I cried the whole she was gone. My dad bought me and ice cream in hopes that I would stop crying but it didn't help. I also remember we lived at this camp ground for a while and every night me and my step-mom would go to Dairy Queen and hot fudge sundaes. The part I remember the most was coming home and when I got off the plane I saw my mom and I wanted so badily to just run to her but they held me back till they could prove that she was actually my mom.

Day 25- A recipe

Well I will give you my favorites as a college student

Smackaroni-just macaroni and cheese and chicken ramen noodles.
All you do is cook the noodles together and then drain them and then add the milk, butter and chesse like you are making mac and cheese. Then at the very end add the chicken seasoning and bam it is done and you are living like a real college student.

You next put the graham crackers and marshmellows on a cookie sheet and put them it the oven till the marshmellows are brown. Then you take them out and put the chocolate on the marshmellows and cook them till the chocolate is melted.

Day 24- A movie you won't expect me to love

I will be honest most of my movies are chick flicks or children movies so there isn't really a movie that you would be shocked to find out that I love but here are some of my favorite movies....

Matilda- I just love this movie it is so entertaining to watch and some of the moments are pretty intense.
The parent trap- I have always loved watching this movie I remember that I borrowed it from my aunt and never gave it back.
Pop star- hahah I really don't like this movie but it was good to watch once. I watched it yesterday after church. It has Aaron Carter in it and I have to say that he is just about the worst actor that I know.

I don't really have a lot of movies that I like eaither because lets face it everytime I watch a movie I fall asleep. There was one time when I had to watch a movie for a class and I made myself sit on the floor so I would stay awake.

Day 22- Pictures from where I live

Here are some awsome pictures from where I live........ This is the lovely living room where I spend a lot of my time, my favorite thing to do is take my sunday naps on that little couch.

This is my bathroom and no the counter doesn't usually look that great I cleaned it today.

This would be the wonderful desk that me and Larissa share and it usually has piles off stuff on it that is why I do most of my homework at the kitchen table.

This is my closet and it is the biggest closet that I have ever had and you can see my most favorite part of my room the wall of pictures. Every time I print new pictures I add to it you should have seen it at the begining of the year there was definitly a lot less pictures. All of the pictures on this wall are of my roommates and me.This would the best bed that I have ever had!!!! Yes I sleep on a bunk bed and I have since I was 8 years old. I am kind of scared that one night I will fall of the edge but it hasn't happened yet. But almost every night I wake up in the middle of the night and push myself back so I don't fall off. If you are wondering I sleep on the top and Larissa on the bottom and if can't see there is more pictures up there but those are only of my family.

Day 21- Something I would buy if I had a $1000

I would buy plane tickets for my cousin Laura and I to visit our Aunt Denise and other family in Tennessee. I love to go to Tennessee I have been twice and both trips were amazing. The first time I went I was 12 and then I went again when I was 14. I haven't been back since but I think about going all time. I just wish I had enough money and if I had $1000 that would almost take all of it to buy two tickets but it would be so worth it.

Day 20- A talent of mine

Well I don't know if I could still consider this a talent but I used to dance, for 14 years actually. I loved it and I miss it so much.

Day 19- A hobby of mine

I love to take pictures!!! Lets just face it I love pictures in general and if you could see my room you would know what I am talking about. I have always loved taking pictures but it has only be recently that I have started using them to decorate. I remember once at a family party my cousin said "Regi, I don't think I have ever seen you without a camera in your hand." Taking pictures has just become a part of me I remember my first year of girls camp I took two rolls of film.

The day my best friend got married

I like I said earlier my best friend Kaila got married on March 11 and it all started the night before when I she asked me to come and spend her last night as a single woman with her. I had a lot of fun that night and it just made me sad to think that she is going to be living so far away now that I won't get to see her as much. Here are some pictures from that special day... First I got to play second mom for the day for this little girl isn''t she so cute, well I didn't really have to do a lot because she loved so much by her aunts and uncles. All I had to do was the things that nobody else wanted to do like changing her diaper and feeding her breakfast. This is Kaila and her new husband coming out of the temple and I have to admit that I cried when she came out.Look at the cute family!!!!And her choice of shoes to wear that day....yep skater shoes and I don't blame her because when I get married the last thing I want to wear is heels.This is everybody that came to the temple!!!

Kaila's siblings and did I mention that I was the taxi driver for her two sisters for the day. It was really fun to drive with those two I haven't hung-out with them in a while and it was great to here their stories.This is my most favorite picture of the whole day.... I mean look at baby Jetta trying to fit her face in the fence was just the cutest thing that I had seen in a long time.
And you have to have a picture with your best friend outside the temple when she gets married.
After the temple we headed to luncheon where they played a slide show of pictures of the two of them growing up and I cried even more watching that. Next we a had a few hours till the reception started so I went home and took a much need nap. Then at about 5:30 I made it to the reception. It was such a wonderful day!!! I got to know Kaila's aunts very well and I was surprised by how many people knew my name and I had no clue who they were. But if people didn't know my name then my name became Kaila's friend. The funniest thing that happened was this lady came to give us decorations for the reception and when she saw me she said " are you the friend," I said "yes," she said "will come out to my car with me for just a little bit." So when I went out there she gave me a vinyl sign that said Just Married. She said it was to put on the back window and so I made sure that it made it to her car. Overall it was just a great day I am so glad that I got to be a part of it.

I typed "USU fries" into google and this picture popped and guess what it belonged to another girl from usu and I must say she has a pretty amazing blog. I did feel like kind of a creeper though.

Day 16- A song that makes me cry

Butterfly kisses- I love this song, I remember just watching one of my friends dance with her dad at her wedding and just crying.

My best friends wedding

Well today my best friend is getting married. It is crazy to think that she is gettting married I never thought that I would get to see the day. Kaila and I have been friends on and off since Junior year. When we graduated we weren't speaking so I thought that I had lost her forever. But summer 2010 we ended up having a math class together and I dreaded the thought of having to see her and talk to her again. The math class went better than I thought it would but when it was over in August I didn't talk to or see her again till Novemeber (the first time I met her soon to be hubby) when we went on a double date. I still worried about our friendship at that point but I just thought that I would let it flow. We would text sometimes after that and then one days she came and we went to lunch. After that lunch were just became friends again. Now she getting married TODAY and it is so werid to me but I am so excited for her. I just can't wait for tomorrow I will be waiting outside the temple for her. She is marrying Joey Mortensen in the ogden temple.

Day 14- A vacation I would like to take

I would love to go to Australia. I have always dreamed about going there, I just want to see some real kang-roos. I also am in love with australian accents so maybe while I am there I can find me a hot australian guy.

Day 13- Guilty pleasure

I really love to watch Dog the bounty hunter. Yes I know you guys weren't expecting it!!! It is just a high energy show and I honestly have no clue why I like it but I do. I actually like just about any show that has something to do with criminals. At my apartment I get made fun of for watching criminal shows all time and lets just say my roommates don't like shows with criminals in them. I don't like it as much as I like teen mom but it is up there on my list of favorite shows.

Day 12- My dream wedding

Well I have thought a lot about my dream wedding.....

I want to get married in the Brigham city temple or the Logan temple, I can't decide but that is ok because I still have a while before that will happen. I have also thought that my colors might be brown and bright blue. That is really all that I have thought a lot about because things change everytime. I guess I will just have to wait and see what will happen on that special day.

Day 11- A person you admire

My mom is the person that I admire. She is such an amazing person for most of my life she was single and I think she did a dang good job raiseing me. I don't know if I could have done all that my mom has done, she is like one of my best friends.

Day 10- Something I crave

Chicken Strips with ranch dressing- I get them every time I go out to eat somewhere. I would have to say that Juniper Take-out has the best chicken strips out there and believe me I have had chicken strips at almost every imgainable place out there. Can you belive that I used to hate chicken yep that is right when I was younger I was pretty much a vegiatartain. I still remember the day that I took a bit a of a drump stick and it was the best thing that I had ever eaten. That happened while I was at bear lake, I was sitting on a bench eating lunch and when I realized chicken was actually good I decided that I needed to keep it to myself because everybody thought that I only liked fruits and vegetables. Well needless to say that didn't last every long because everyone who really knows me knows that I would be happy with chicken strips and ranch for every meal of the day. Oh and one thing the ranch has to be the right kind of ranch it has to not taste like sour milk (which most do). So in my discoveries I have also found the best ranch and it is Atwood's ranching dressing. It is the best stuff on this planet and the only downside is that it is kind of expensive but that means nothing because it is soooooo good. Anyway I hope you have loved my story and hearing about how much I love chicken strips and ranch.

Day 9- A photo of me

A photo of me well this is my favorite picture of myself it was taken one day just before insutitute. If you didn't know there is just this random phone booth in the downstairs of the instutite building. It has no phone in it anymore but one day me and my friend just found it and decided to take pictures us in it. Just so you know never shut the door of the phone booth all the way because it makes a really loud sound when you try and open it back up again. and then we fit two people in the phone booth!!!

Day 8- A website

Fight the new drug- This website talks about the effects of porn and how it has ruined peoples lives. One day at church we had a lesson on the affects of porn and after that I have been really interested on how to tell if someone is addicted and how it affects their lives.This website has really helps to know how people act when they are addicted to porn. My favorite part of the website is the stories part, it just has stories of how porn has affected lives. I think that porn is probably the worst addiction out there because you can't just move away from it because when you see those pictures they are permantely stuck in your mind.

Day 7-Pictures I have taken recently

Day 6- The meaning behind my blog name.

One night as I was just sitting at my apartment I decided that it was time for me to get a blog. I had no clue what I was going to call it so I started to think and couldn't come up with anything. So I decided to type "life quotes," into google. After looking through a couple of quotes I decided that "dream as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow." I just thought that quote explained the way that life should be lived.

Day 4- Favorite T.V shows

Teen Mom- I have loved watching this show ever since it came out. I like the first teen mom better than the second one. I never miss an episode.

16& pregnant- I love this show. I think I like it show much because it gives me a glimpse into a life that I will never know. I am not as good at watching this show but I still try to watch every episode.
