Top 11 of 2011

Here is my list of things that have happened to me and people that have made my life great this past year......
1. My Patriachal blessing- on Febuary 8 I finally got it!!!! I was really struggling not know what was going to happen, if I was going to finish school or what to do with the rest of my life. I after I got my Patriachal blessing all my worries seemed to disappear because it was then that I knew what I was do was right.
2. Mission call- On August 3 I got my mission call!!! I was so excited that if finally came after wanting it for about 8 months. When I was working on my papers and people would ask me where I wanted to go I would say Australia. Looking back I never thought it would actually happen but I am so glad I got to go where I want to go and where the lord needed me.
3. Temple- On September 7 I went to the temple for the first time!! It was an experience that I didn't think I was old enough for. Now that I have been to the temple more it means a lot more than it used to and I love walking out feeling really calm.
4. Next is the people that have made a difference in my life this year......
Tyler- I met him in math class the very first day and we were instant friends. He made a boring math class bearable. If he wasn't wondering if the couple of us were dating or married he was asking me if I wanted some, or gum, or anyother candy that he had.
Laura- I met her at ysa she just moved her from Iowa (I think). One activity we started talking and were basically instant friends. It was great to have her at the activities because I always knew I would have a friend when I went to the activities.
Marti- She is the ysa relief socitey president. She is always very welcoming and I have loved getting to know her.
Mackensie-She was my roommate this year when I lived in Glenwood. She was the one who would come with me really anywhere I wanted.
Paige-She was my roomie too. Paige was the best example to me on how to study. Often times she would lock herself in her room and study for hours.
Amy- She was like the mother of our roommates (she would hate when I would say this). She was always the one who could tell when were having a bad and would try to make it better.
Brittnay-She only lived with us for fall semseter but I sure loved having her there. I would often get woken up by her singing some werid song at like 7:30am. She also lived on cereal and I had a ton of it so when she was gone I actually had to eat my cereal.
Larissa- I shared a room with her and it was great. She never slept talked or kept me up at night but she was always there when I needed her.
Ashley- Well she is my best friend and has helped me through so much.
Mindy- She was a great relief society president and I would be in trouble if I didn't include her
5. Journal- this year my journal has become one of the things I cherish the most. Sometimes I just like to tell my stories and not have anyone there giving me their opinion and for that my journal is great.
6. Ice cream- I loved ice cream before this year but I found the best flavor ever. It was Red Velvet cake ice cream. I discovered this ice cream at Wal-Mart one day and now I am addicted.
7.My blog- it was created this year in January. I was really good at blogging when I was in Logan but now that I am living at home I just don't think about it as much.
8. Best friends wedding- My friend Kaila got married in march in the Odgen Temple. I was so glad that was able to be apart of her day.
9.Twizlberry-This the best frozen yogurt place in logan. They have punch cards and on Tuesday it was double punch day so that was the day that my roommates and I always had to go.
10.Unplugged week- I stayed off Facebook for one whole week this year and it was a hard week it also did me a lot of good. It created more time for my friends and homework which was muchly needed.
11.Pants- I have ripped 4 pairs of pants this year that is a grand total for me. I think I have maybe ripped 2 pairs in my whole life. The lateset pair I ripped was yesterday and I was hopeing those pants would last so I could take them with me on my mission but I guess they had other plans.
Well 2011 was a great year and I am sure next year will be great because I will be in Australia. Well I hope you all have had a great year!!!!!! Have fun!!!

Unlucky days....

It seems to me that ever since I got my mission call I have had some bad luck especially with my car. Well you see it all started a couple weeks after I got my call. I was on my way to a concert with my sister when my car died in bounitful. So we got a tow truck to get me to a Wal-Mart parking lot where my sisters mechanic picked it up to hopefully fix it. The mechanic had it finished the next day, he had replaced the fuel filter and had driven it around and it ran great. So I was off and I missed the entrance to the free-way so I decided drive through odgen and at 23rd street my car started slowing down but I wasn't pushing the break. Luckily I was able to turn left and coast it into the very first open spot. When I stopped my car I just started to cry and then I called my mom, and then a tow truck. While I was waiting for the tow truck I called everyone I knew in odgen and no one answered. But about an hour and a half later the tow truck came to my resuce but before we left odgen the tow truck broke down. I just began to think I am never going to make it home. Finally about 30minutes later the tow truck finally started and I was finally on my way home. By the time I got home I thought my car is a goner but it was just the fuel pump and it took my mechanic 4 days to get it fixed. Lets just say all of that took a big chuck of my mission money. As time past I became more confident in my car, well that was till last week. I was on my way to brigham and I had stopped at Dairy Queen and my car started smoking. I thought my it was going blow up. I cried a little and then called my uncle and he came to resuce and my cousin drove my car back to my house where it smoked some more. Then next day I took it to my mechanic who said it was my radator. So there went some more of my mission money.

Just when you are thinking oh my what else could happen well more has. I got out my christmas tree yesterday and a couple hours later I went to turn the lights on in the bathroom and they came on but quickly shut off. I thought oh great both of the lights went out at the same time but I soon realized that not just the lights went out but I could no longer hear the tv. So I went to the breaker box and found the one that had been tripped and I flipped the breaker back to on and nothing happened. So I tried it a couple times and nothing so today is the second we only have power in half of our house. It is supposed to be fixed tomorrow. I really hope it does because I hate not having a tv and I have realized that it is more of a comfort because I hate being alone and hearing weird sounds outside.
